Planet Density Foods is a company dedicated to the research and development of whole nutrient dense foods. In addition to a brand refresh, I also designed packaging for their granola snacks, Gravity Bites and natural energy drink, Mr. Sun.
The first thing I did for the brand retouch was change the typeface to something structured and bold to and improve legibility.
I removed the rays because when the logo scales down, details are lost. It's also distracting from the content within the circle.
Finally, I smoothed out the shapes in the circle and changed the colors to make them distinguishable from the background, resulting in a clear minimal logo.
For Gravity Bites, the apple logo refers to Isaac Newton's Laws of Motion, demonstrated by a kayaker rafting down a large waterfall. The vibrant illustration enforces the energetic and free-spirited brand of Planet Density.
Mr. Sun is a natural energy drink made without sugar and harmful chemicals commonly found in popular energy drinks. The sun combined with sunglasses conveys a calm but uplifting feel for the packaging.
